Christie: Howdy! I am the literary voice behind, primary photographer, and person of contact for Och + Ko.

I love British tea and Japanese culture, vintage thrift shopping (or really just shopping in general), and exploring new places with my best friend and hubby (see below). I also love writing and taking pictures (obviously) and to let you in on a not-so-top-secret secret, it has been my dream since I was a little girl to be a photo-journalist for a big magazine company.

I consider myself to be a little bit quirky and a whole lot of nice with a deep love for people. I am also in love with photography and I knowwww that sounds super cliche but I truly consider this my passion and being able to freeze a memory/feeling in time brings me the greatest joy you could ever imagine.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about me.

I’m a lover of all things Japan, and coffee. If you know me already, then you know I always have a Starbucks coffee by my side If I can help it. (Trenta - Cold Brew Black if you must know) 

I started photography a few years ago alongside my wonderful wife. (That chic up there) We've been married for just short of a decade now. Man time flies! We enjoy traveling and try to do so every chance that we get, taking pictures all along the way.  Within the last few years, I have taken my photography to the skies! I am a Licensed Remote Pilot and fly with my trusty little Mavic Pro 2. It’s unbelievable how different of a perspective you can get when you take a picture from the same spot, just a little higher. I enjoy shooting street photography, landscapes, and of course portraits. We want to bring you the best experience possible at Och + Ko and we hope to meet you soon!
